Gets More Digital
The Sound department has been spending money again this year. Fast on the heels of a second Yamaha PM5D that was added to the stock at the end of last year, 2007 has seen the addition of Digico D5 consoles. They come as the D5 Live FMX package enabling 112 channels with two stage racks. This provides both FOH & Monitor control surfaces with local racks. Alternatively, they can be split into two 56channel D5’s for separate jobs. A full Kelsey Veem patching & satellite box system has also been added which also enables a split to analogue consoles if so required.
The D5’s were added earlier this year to augment the purchase of the d&b
J-Series both of which went out on The Who’s summer tour. Digital consoles have been asked for more and more throughout 2007 and Entec will shortly be purchasing an M7CL 48channel and LS9 16channel to satisfy demand.
The year has been busy servicing such touring clients as GBQ, The Monkey King Opera, Jethro Tull, Bootleg Beatles, The Who, James, Tool, Biffy Clyro and The Pogues.
Numerous events have also been supplied by Entec, TCT at RAH, Guilfest, Ascot Race Concert, Lanhydrock Festival and many one-off shows at RAH and London Apollo. The two London Fashion weeks also add a bit of logistical spice!
The d&b sales department has been kept very busy this year as the demand for their fine products increases. The new range of E-Series loudspeakers and the new D6 amplifier has ensured that their ever expanding range provides ‘something for all occassions’.
