Entec is an established sound and lighting supplier with experience worldwide. We currently have a vacancy in our developing Media System and Visuals department.
• Working closely with Lighting Designers, Directors and Production Managers to assist in defining and realising the lighting concept for a range of live productions including undertaking complex sequencing and programming of the lighting for specific productions
• Develop, test and implement media server software solutions and programs for IRAD, Catalyst and Hippotizer systems using Java, C and Assembly
• Conduct research and evaluation of new technology and trends to assess their impact on current and future projects to and assist in securing Entec’s excellent reputation as Industry Innovators of new technology.
• Work with team members to create flexible, efficient and extensible designs, based on object-oriented design principles, software engineering methodologies, and personal experience.
• Testing, Maintaining and Servicing Playback and Switching Facilities.
• Maintain and repair Entec’s inventory of Media Servers; replace drives, components, upgrade software, and remove or add show content as needed.
• Maintain and repair, Entec’s inventory of computer lighting consoles; diagnose and repair GrandMA, WholeHog, and Avolites brand equipment. Test functionality, replace broken components, upgrade software
• Modifying artwork and transferring customer data files to run correctly on Entec’s media systems.
• Developing and maintaining good working relationships with manufacturers and providers
• Interface with key departments and personnel throughout the company regarding the state of current media server systems as well as the development of new systems
• Integrate efficiently within the other departments of our organisation.
• To act as the frontline interface to users ensuring that issues are resolved in a timely manner explaining procedures efficiently verbally and in writing if necessary
The successful applicant will ideally be creative, have a degree in electronics and a comprehensive working knowledge of computer controlled operating systems, as well as IT and technical lighting skills to program and develop the most appropriate cutting edge technology for our clients within the Corporate, Concert Touring, TV Show and Exhibition sector. A minimum of two years technical experience within the Special Events Sector would be an advantage. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal communications and an ability to create an organised environment and keep methodical records.
A competitive salary with an incentive bonus scheme is available for commissioned software.
